Hello and thank you for visiting the City Manager's Office. The Office of City Manager is dedicated to providing a variety of services to the public, City Commission and staff. We remain committed to being responsive to serving the needs of our community. 

With a population of nearly 5,000 people, surrounding areas increase the population figures to 54,000 in a 25-mile radius and more than 1.4 million in a 50-mile radius. I believe you will come to see and agree with me that the City of South Bay possesses a dynamic business environment while maintaining its friendly and unique small-town character. As your City Manager, I am committed to doing what it takes to foster a favorable economic climate and ensure prompt and courteous service by the city so that our City may continue to grow, flourish and become an integral part of Historic South Bay.

My staff is willing and equipped to help you and your business with any problems or issues that may arise pertaining to the services we offer, from sanitation to permits, licensing and more. In addition, I am always interested in your input. The City Manager is the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) for the municipal entity. The City Manager is responsible for coordinating, administering and supervising all decisions, regulations and polices of the Mayor and Commission. In addition, the City Manager develops operational objectives, policies and programs necessary for sound conduct of administrative operations.

The City Manager is responsible for administration and management of the day to day operations of the government and budget. The City Manager is responsible for working with the elected officials and other stakeholders in the community to assist with developing and establishing community goals and objectives while ensuring the community’s best interests are always considered during the decision-making process. The City Manager fosters a welcoming environment to attract local businesses, developers, and investors to bring commerce to South Bay.  He also works hand-in-hand with the Business Development Board and Economic Development Council in business recruitment and retention.  The City Manager also acts as a legislative liaison to other municipalities as well as other Local, State, and Federal Agencies.
